I'm Luke, a 16 year old high school student at Western Albemarle High School in Crozet, VA. I love sports. I love anything to do with them, such as practices, games, weight training, and the friends and experiences I make through them. Last year, I sustained an injury halfway through my football season. Because of that injury, I was unable to play, but could be on the sidelines and learn about sports photography with the numerous photographers that would take pictures for our team. After the first focus and clicks of the camera, I knew that this was something I wanted to do. The other thing that I absolutely love is being outside; going on hikes with family, walking the dog, going to the river or lake with friends. It doesn't really matter what I'm doing, I just like to be out in fresh air. It was last summer when my love for taking pictures in nature truly showed its colors on my families trip to Banff, Canada and Waterton Lakes, Montana. Mountains, wildlife, sunsets, and bodies of water were too beautiful not to capture in a picture. My goal is to provide my friends, family, and teammates with quality images of them playing their sport - not taken by a parents phone camera (no disrespect) - and to ultimately show people the beauty of nature through photography, something I have a true passion for.
